It doesn't look like there is a module for something I'd like to see. I'm interested in having Drupal run our extranet. One feature is important is file/folder management with user/group permissions and usage histories.
For example, Pat may log on and enter the file/folder area and be presented only with the folder she (or her group) has rights to. She can then view/download files in various binary formats and could also upload a modification or new file. Such access and actions would be recorded, so others in her group would be aware of any modifications or posting of new files and by whom.
Pretty much, this is a feature for collaboration with files that are in .pdf, .doc, .xls (I guess for others, there would be different files - but generally binary), and for remote access of various files.
It would also be nice to enable comments associated with individual files.
