This is how the plugin currently works, but sometimes a different offsetParent needs to be chosen. The plugin allows a selector or DOM element to be passed as the custom offsetParent. It may be necessary to select an offetParent that is related to the triggering element in a different way., but it still has to allow a normal offsetParent to be passed in too.
