hello!

i am user of a website which is based on drupal. I get an "404 error: favicon.ico not found" when i surf this website in opera browser ver 7.54.

How can i get rid of this error.

I am just a user and dont have access to website's server.
I do ahve a .ico file but where will i put it.

I would really appreciate if you could help me out.

The favicon.ico file should go in the root web folder of your site. If you installed Drupal, it should have installed this in the correct folder.

Is there any way i can rid of this error message, configuring my browser or something else on my system.

Root folder (in this context) means the upper-most folder where you can place HTML files with your user.
I.e. it's not necessarily /var/www or something, but can be /home/web1/public_html or whatever your hoster gave you...

Maybe you disable downloading of icon via banner filter?

i disabled ad and banner blocking, but still i am getting this error.

i get this error only when i browse in opera 7.54, not in internet explorer.
