I have a content-type called 'generic page', which already has a selection of nodes in existence. The issue i appear to be having is that when I try and add a field_collection to it, the collection is not available. It's there fine when I create new nodes, but not when I edit a pre-existing node.

I have tried creating a dummy node, and adding the field_collection to it, then adding the pre-existing field to my 'generic page' content type, but this results in the same issue.

Does anyone else have this same bug?

I tried this with some simple nodes. When I added a field collection to a content type and went to edit content items that had already existed the new field collection was embedded in the form and the values were saved correctly.

If this is still happening please reopen with more specific steps to reproduce.
