I just installed the 'Event' (v 5.x-1.0) and 'Event w/ volunteer timeslots' modules and they went in nicely and seem to work great -- except that individuals are being logged out the first time they access the event calendar (e.g., with a URL like ?q=event/2007/). At first, it only happened if the event calendar was the first thing they accessed after logging in to drupal, but now it seems to occur the first time they access it at all. It behaves like a real logout (versus the phantom drupal ogout bug that has appeared for me on prior occasions) -- actions requiring authenticated user status are no longer accessible and the user must log in to drupal again... sometimes the user is then shown logged in twice, but not always. It's getting less repeatable.
I've searched and cannot find anyone else with this same problem. Does anyone have any ideas about how to correct it? It's such a neat feature to have, but not if it logs the user out!

I think that I saw the answer to my question as I typed the example URL above ---- if I explicitly specify a clean URL the logout problem seems to go away.
