Integration with files table for use with Private download method

It seems to me this module only works when you are using the Public download method.

For integration with private download methods it would be trivial to create an entry into the files table to allow the file to be downloaded using a system/files/filexyz.ext URL.

If I do this myself I'll post the code up here.
