At the moment it only produces tables - but you change:

$table = theme('views_view_tables', $view, $nodes, null);

in

$table = theme('views_view_nodes', $view, $nodes, null);

it works very well! so the doc-printing-version should try to catch the real configuration of the view

This version of Views Bonus Pack is not supported anymore. The issue is closed for this reason.
Please upgrade to a supported version and feel free to reopen the issue on the new version if applicable.
