"could not find title" error... site messing up...

hello
was just setting up my site which i been working on for weeks
suddenly today i keep getting this error "Could not find title" whenever i click on a story, an audio, video etc to view it
for example, a story will be published on the front page and the title clearly shows, but when i click it, it shows the story but instead of the title i get the red error box saying could not find title.... this is wierd cos when i edit the story the title is in the title box!
even when creating new content this happens after, its really messing up my site cos now the views block wont even display the thumbnails for my videos :(
