'distinct' select does not auto-select for filter 'Event Repeat: Distinct Events'

When I attempt to save a View using the filter 'Event Repeat: Distinct Events', I receive this error:

Event Repeat: Distinct Events must have a value!

and the value field for the filter is outlined in red. The value field contains the text 'distinct.'

Tested under FF2 and IE7; both return the same error.

This can be fixed by selecting the field before saving the view.
