I Installed the module according to the instructions contained in the INSTALL.txt file:
1. Place the entire swfupload directory into your Drupal modules/
directory.
2. Download SWFUpload from
Remember to uncompress the file and make sure the folder is named
'swfupload'.
3. Place the entire 'swfupload' engine folder inside your modules/swfupload
directory. So the SWFUpload engine will live in modules/swfupload/swfupload
4. Enable this module by navigating to:
administer > site building > modules
..but I can't get the module to work. Is there a step that I am missing?

paulhudson commentedI also have this problem. I followed all the steps in install.txt and enabled the module however I still see the html form field.
Can anyone help please?

dismalhiker commentedI have the same issue. SWF upload was installed according to instructions, enabled in modules, nothing happened. Any help/thoughts would be appreciated. - dh

silviogutierrez commentedTried it too. Not working. Module has potential though.

wmostrey commentedThis issue is probably related (or a duplicate) of #161647.
But apart from this, the module indeed does not work for me: I get the interface but the upload doesn't succeed and after such an unsuccessful upload I automatically get logged out.
It would be great to get this fixed because a decent GUI for uploads is something that Drupal is long needing.

robloachIf you apply the patches attached to other issues, the module will start working.
robloachThis problem should be deprecated now. Setting it to fixed.
