I successfully upgraded my drupal version from 4.7.x to 5.1 , but some of the modules that were disabled initally now don't even show in the modules section, and I'm unable to configure the Garland theme colors.. Everything works great except for the above issues, is there something that I need to do ?

You may find drupal 5 compatible version of those modules in download section.
