Pt-br translation maintanership

Hi folks,
It's been a long time since the Brazilian Portuguese translation for Drupal was abandoned. the translation was somewhat inconsistent, and we hardly had 89% from core translated.
In May I started the translation from scratch on my own, and after that I sponsored a translator to finish it.
Now we have drupal 5.x core fully translated, and drupal 6.x string freeze is coming, so i asked to be the translation mainterner.
I sent an e-mail to Recidive and Translation list in the beggining of July, and I opened an issue in d.o more than two weeks ago but he didn't tell me his position yet.

Folks, I really want to see Drupal 6.x fully translated to pt-br by release date, but I do need to organize the project before. So I'm asking you to give me the maintanership from pt-br translation.
