I think this is great module if you added some other function, for example protecting forum topic that containing adult content.

Yes, it would be nice if the module also allowed a role to be assigned at user creation or editing that would assign a particular role to users over a certain age. That way, you could use any of a number of access control modules to limit access to adult-only areas.

This is essentially related to assigning roles (#169461: Assign configurable role to users over a certain age), and using permission based modules to perform the validation. So I am marking as a duplicate despite the date.
