Caption language synchronizing

I'm using field collections in a multi language site and i'm facing a problem that after a while using an slide show without captions i've been asked to set them; as this slide show wasn't using captions in the first place I set images to be synchronized on translations but now i've unset the option but captions are synchronized in all languages anyway, so all captions appear in one language only and not in the language which the rest of the content is.
