On the database upgrade, I got a number of the following error messages:

unlink(files/css/092ab1fd3ea5f0bb3ef33b65b4e9f417.css) [<a href='function.unlink'>function.unlink</a>]: Permission denied in /home/DIRECTORY/public_html/includes/file.inc on line 468

Everything seems to be functioning properly, however.

Is this a problem? I can roll back the database, but not sure if I need to do that. Please let me know. I don't know enough to know what this error is. Can someone let me know, please?

This doesn't look like it has anything to do with the update_status module at all. it really looks like an issue with the CSS aggregator/compressor in core.
