When I finish the setup process and try to browse to the folder, I get this:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: variable_get() in /home/nfrccask/public_html/sue/includes/common.inc on line 1846

Also, the gallery module appears in the module list, but nothing appears in the user permissions list.

Any ideas? I've amended my .htaccess file as instructed and I think I have my chmod permissions right.

Additionally, this statement from the INSTALL file isn't, in fact, true:

There will be three new permissions in the user permissions table:
- access gallery
- administer gallery
- create new gallery

Since there is no more activity here, Gallery 2 is out, Drupal 4.6.3 is out and gallery.module was updated by Walkah a couple of days ago, please update everything and try again.
