Administer/forum/configure/paths allows an alternate path to smilies which doesn't appear to function. If additional smiley images are added to the default path (uie/uiesmilies) folder, they are ignored. The code in functions.inc.php (function uieforum_get_smiley_list()) looks like it's hardwired.

If you can think of a nice admin interface for it, I'll look at the problem for ya
