login failed

i followd the instructions all the way thru and used the files that came packaged and thought i didnt have a problem. I tried creating a user in Drupal and that user was also created in PHPBB3 and logged in at the same time like its supposed to be. for some reason, after i log out of this create user and try to log back in, i get an error message saying that the email address or password is wrong and cannot be found. i know i am not typing it incorrectly, so it seems like after the first logout, i cannot relogin users.
