Hi

I have two issues w.r.t to the module.

1. When I tried to disable the slide show module, I still find it in create contents although it shows 'disabled' in 'Modules'.

2. When I was using create content for slide-show, (only in its case) I found that the right-side-block of my page has moved to the bottom, making things look haphazard. Is it something with the module or some other problem? (It also happens whenever I open the content in edit mode)

It does not remove the content type since there still be nodes with that content type. Since slideshow.module's content type is not module provided but programatically created, you can just remove the node type on the settings page.

Regarding the right block issue: I suspect it's due to your theme; I've never had this happen on my sites.
