I'm looking at making a D7 port of Sentry Server as I see it's not currently an open issue here. I wondered if you'd had any thoughts on the subject and any pitfalls you may have already identified.

I think it is an exciting opportunity to rework the architecture, but since i am full time employed i no longer have time for it. All I can do is maintenance fixes to the d6 branch.

I agree it is a great opportunity to look at an overhaul. I propose a 7.x-1.x branch to get a basic port of the existing 6 branch and then maybe start looking at a proper restructure in a 7.x-2.x branch. I'm hoping to have some time come up for this in the near future and will post patches back here (unless you fancy putting me on the project as a co-maintainer :) )
