E-Commerce Attributes

Hi all:
I've tried to search for an answer to this question, but can't find it.
I'd like to know if its possible, using the 4.5 release of the e-com module, to have attributes on a product. I can't seem to find out how to do this, but when I look at some of the sample sites, they've done it ( eg. http://www.snowboard-mag.com/node/549 )
Any help on where to look for more information is appreciated.

Hi Mike, this feature seems to be removed from recent versions of the e-commerce module. See this issue.

alternative to E-commerce attributes
I have been looking for a alternative i´ve read all post, manual, and pages... and finally I sure the best alternative is the feature removed from old version os e-commerce module... so I want to know if there are any posibility or rewritting it..
