Breaks site indexing, RSS feeds, sitemaps

I posted a patch yesterday to fix the handling for sitemaps, cron, and RSS feeds. Once my sitemaps got picked up by Google I discovered that this module also breaks all indexing of slave sites with "too many redirections". I've updated my previous fix to handle this (as well as indexing by other major search engines). This is a hacky fix at best; I think this use of redirection may be fundamentally flawed. While it is certainly more work, the redirection needs to be hidden under the hood as an XML-RPC request, perhaps.
