I need a quick hint, where to select the option "editable", to identify which fields should be editable after setting a view to editfield list/table? Can't seem to find this neither in views, nor in cck. I'd love to use this module, because editview opens up too many options for my purpose.
Thanks, Chris

gmclelland commentedUnder views -> Edit the view -> Look under the listed Fields -> There is an option column -> Use the select box to choose "editable"
Make sure your view's type is editable fields-table.
Hope that helps,
Glenn

challer commentedThanks, I thought I looked there, but must've not paid close enough attention.

derhasi commentedI had the same problem, but couldn't find any entry "editable" in option-column.
But after editing the CCK-Field (whithout changes) the entry appeared in the option column.

vanderlip commentedI have the same problem. I have followed the instructions (at least I thought I did), the view type is editable table. In the listed fields column I do not see the editable choice. I see default, plain text, trimmed. Any pointers?

zirvap commentedOn a clean install, this works as described for me. Here's a brief description with screendumps. (I'll clean up the screendumps and add this to the handbook as soon as I get time.)
But: On the site where I need this, the second step doesn't happen. I'm able to choose "Editable fields - table" or "Editable fields - list", but there's no "Editable" under options for my fields.
I suppose the problem is caused by interaction with some of the other modules I have installed. I'll open a new issue as soon as I know enough to describe the problem properly.

zirvap commentedIt looks like you have the same problem as the one I've described in the issue Editablefields doesn't work for some sites. For those of you who experience the same problem (ie. you can choose editable fields under View Type, but don't find it under Options), please describe your site configuration in that issue, as it may help pinpoint the cause of the problem.
I've moved the screendumps and description I mentioned in my previous post to here.
I'm closing this issue -- the problem we have is not a support issue, it's a bug.

Nijip commentedI have the same problem. I can select editable fields table but no option is given in the fields...
I have a lot of modules installed, OG, OG user types.... My site is almost ready... just need this one to make it all good.
