Drupal 5.2.

Create some new content. Change the input format to use something other than the default filter. Hit Preview. Check the input format—it's back to the default.

I just repeated this bug on both an existing Page and a new Page.

By the way, I think Drupal is generally brilliant in the way it handles things—except for input formats. The default filter module starts to overcome some of these problems, but the set up is tedious and I think there are better approaches. What is the proper place to discuss this so as to ensure the module author sees the discussion? The bug systems doesn't seem like the right place.
