FIrst off, great work on the module! It suits the purpose much better than the Drupal forum and it fits into the site design almost perfectly.

My request though is to allow the ability for 1 security group to create THREADS and then have other security groups REPLY to those threads.

For example, moderators can create threads but authenticated users cannot. Authenticated users CAN reply to threads created by moderators though.

This is mainly for announcement style forums where we only want administrators to create threads but we want to allow all users to reply to the announcements.
