Hey again, I've changed the default 'story' content type to 'news' where you can just post news items but the rss feed doesn't appear to be working. I'm using Views to display the news items but I can't find an rss option in the Views setup. Is there an option through Views to make the page and rss feed as well or do I have to set this up somewhere else?

Enable "Views RSS" module.

Go to "Edit View" and add the argument "Node: Feed Selector"

I've tried it and unfortunately not gotten such good results.

Does this add to the main rss.xml file? And does it work for blocks, or would I have to clone it and turn it into a page?

It creates a RSS file at /your-view-path/feed

Is it possible to roll your view feed into the main feed so that your site has one meta feed for all your content types?

If you check the checkbox "Promoted to front page" under the workflow settings, it will automatically add that content type to the main rss feed.
