I have node with title 'Calisto Pro Headset Simplifies Landline VoIP and Mobile Phones' PA creates alias 'calisto-pro-headset-simplifies-landline-voip-and-mobile-phones'
i need to rename it to 'xxxxxxx'
- I do
- node->edit
- type new alias in "URL path settings" field, for example 'xxxxxxx'
- press "Submit"
and then I have message -
* Created new alias calisto-pro-headset-simplifies-landline-voip-and-mobile-phones for node/340, replacing xxxxxxx
* The Story has been updated.
Funny eh?

The workaround is to visit admin/build/path and then you can edit it from that screen.

Ectar commentedBut what is the point to have field 'URL path settings' in node properties if IT USELESS ?!
Comment #3
gregglesok, well that feature was now committed to beta3.
Also, please only provide constructive information in the followups and don't "YELL". Constructive feedback is the only way you are going to build karma with anyone.

Ectar commentedSorry for yelling. Now I understand what is going on :)
I want to suggest setting in Pathauto module to set preference base on what user want to have aliases generated when EDIT node.
User can select: "Title Field " or "URL path settings".
