Trying to lock editing certain "pages" from editing by users of "editor" role. Tagged content is still editable.

  1. I've set deny for this taxonomy term on both "authenticated user" and "editor" roles.
  2. Also removed the "edit any page content" core node permission.
  3. Also removed the "administer nodes" core permissions from the "editor" role.
  4. Given test user has no other roles.

Only other related modules I'm using is Secure Permissions.

Flushed all cache, even rebuilt node permissions. Editing by an "editor" is still possible. Believe I've configured everything according to directions.
Have read past issues regarding this issue:
#409188: User can edit even if TAC-Settings on "denied"
#809524: Able to edit node when access should be denied

Found it!

Problem was the "bypass node access" permission.
