I'd really like to see this module updated to D6 (and might even do so myself, given enough time).

If you have the skills, it would be great if you could first help with getting it done in 5. :) I'm sure it will be ported to 6 as it's too important of a module to just die out, but it needs to get working in 5 first.

It is almost one year since last answer about this topic - is there any news about Drupal 6 port of this important module?

As I can see you want to first get version 5.2 working before porting, right?

(Unfortunately I'm using only Drupal 6 so I'm unable to test version 5.2 in real life...)

Event for Drupal 8 is unrelated to older versions. If an issue similar to this one exists, please open a new issue with the 8.x branch.
