account module - custom extension to ecommerce package

Mathias (of ecommerce fame) recently completed work on a new module for my site, Poolitics, which enables users to maintain an account balance which can be used to purchase products (in the case of my site, entries in predictive contests).

when purchases are made via "account", the total is automatically deducted from the user's balance. additionally, the admin is able to manually adjust users' balances.

users can add to their balance by making a donation via PayPal, upon completion of which their balance is automatically updated.

there is also a mechanism whereby users can request payment of their balance, either via PayPal or snail mail check. once a user submits their request, the amount requested is automatically deducted from their balance, and an e-mail is sent to the admin informing of the request. the request is also logged in the watchdog.

unfortunately, there is no way to see this module in action without registering & participating at my site.

I plan to contribute this module in the near future, although no date has been set yet.

BTW, Mathias did a helluva job. If you need any custom work done, I highly recommend him.
