A display problem with media gallery & no logo?

Hi

I think Splendio is fantastic, but there are some 2 issues which are causing some nail-biting.
One is shown below in the 2 screenshots. With the media gallery module, on the media gallery front-page the upper screenshot shows how Splendio renders it, with those background images being oversize & flowing into the right sidebar.

The lower screenshot shows how the same page appears in Bartik & all the other themes I tried. If one clicks on the constituent sub-galleries represented by those thumbnails, there the thumbnails are small & the right size.

So my request is what do you do to Splendio, to make it behave like the other themes & show the media gallery frontpage correctly?

Secondly, I might have missed some information about Splendio somewhere, ... The fact is no custom logo is displayed, just the site name, unlike in Bartik & other themes. Is it meant to be without a custom logo or there is a way around this?? If there is no way to use a logo, is which css element is for changing the site name size?
