Home Page vs Front Page

Is there a way to set front page (entry page) be different from the home page (when click on the home)? I just wanted to display the entry page once and from there on, the home page (/node) will be displayed when home url link was clicked.

Hi

I see that something that you need is already done by a module called Front Page. Its documentation says:

The front_page.module allows you to manage full page/flash splash pages efficiently and simply with the added bonus of redirecting HOME links from within your site to a different page. So users aren't always redirected back to the splash page each time they click on a HOME link.

I hope it helps.
(But I am no expert of drupal, I am also trying to climb the learning curve)
