After installing 2.0-beta 2 I had a problem when using menupath with nodes that were in a sub-folder of a node with periods in the names.

Pre beta-2: /academics/t_j_smull_college_engineering/glance

Post beta-2: /academics/t.j._smull_college_engineering/prospective_students/welcome_dean

what is the pattern you are using and is the value original value something like "t.j. smull college engineering" ?
