Since most of this module landed in core for D6. There’s only a small bit that is in 5.x-1.x that would go into 6.x-1.x version of the module. But I'll be adding the theme switching option for 6.x-1.x and possibly some collapsible fieldsets.

FYI, I have some other ideas about improving the API for a 6.x-2.x module.

For the record, my “other ideas” are: allowing themes to edit the entire form and not just add a fieldset to the form (ala THEME_settings(&$form, $settings)) and storing the default values of custom fields in THEME.ini.
