List access per role

I know this is sort of a duplicate, since other issues have alluded to roles and access, but I guess I would just like to spell it out in a single feature request thread.

It would be super-cool if individual list subscriptions could be limited by role. Something like the update to user_readonly module where you can choose to allow certain roles to subscribe to individual lists or deny certain roles from subscribing to individual lists.

I can use the PHP code in http://drupal.org/node/123650 to get around it, but it would be nice to use the standard interface if possible.
