I use secure browsing in Facebook, and I'm using Firefox 14.0.1, currently but the error also occurs on IE9. I have been having this issue since almost two years, it's what's keeping me using this module. If I'm correct, all those using secure browsing, won't be able to use my app (I can't even add a security exception).

You shouldn't let that stop you from using the modules. That's just a problem on the Drupal for Facebook app, and won't be a problem with your site.

I'm simply using a self-signed certificate, and your browser is rejecting it. Assuming you pay for a real certificate, this won't affect your site.

To work around it, go to https://www.drupalforfacebook.org. There, your browser will warn you the cert is not recognized, but will allow you browse anyway if you add an exception. After you add that exception, you can go back to https://apps.facebook.com/drupalforfacebook and your browser won't complain.

Is there a way to view JUST the application in normal mode? An application asked me that once - to temporarily turn off secure browsing.

Not that I know of. But if there's a way, I'd like to know it!

I searched around and found this. It might just be what you're looking for. Signed request for canvas must be OFF.

EDIT: Scratch that. I read the whole thing: they turned off support for it.
