Well...
If you have never done anything like this before, you may wish to use the (stable) version 5.2. You can get it from the front page or the downloads area. 6.x has not been released to production (it will be awhile).
REALLY recommend you FIRST start with some reading. Go to the Handbook pages (tab at the top of this page) and at the very least read the About pages on "Is Drupal right for me?" (probably is), and the Installing and Configuring pages "System Requirements," "Installing Drupal, modules and themes," "Basic site configuration" and "Drupal Cookbook (for New Drupallers)". And then, keep the "Troubleshooting FAQ" page handy.
Basically, you will be unpacking your drupal download locally, reading the INSTALL.TXT file there (please!), then uploading it to your host. Navigate to the index page and follow the instructions. After you have finished installing, you can upload your theme (make sure the versions match!) to the sites/all/themes folder (you will have to create the last one). If you can do this on a local installation first, it will benefit you greatly and save you a lot of pain and aggravation.
Drupal is a very flexible system and, like most such systems, the learning curve is a little steep. Take the time to get your head wrapped around it first, and it will serve you well. Rush into it, and it may bite back. Take your time.
Good luck!
