I'm new to drupal, but have been told it's the best way to do what I want.. multilocation sites, with customised profiles, searching, messaging, events, articles, links, banner ads, feedback on members, premium listings, and more.

this will explain the kind of idea www.massageswap.net or www.therapyswap.net

We have existing sites like www.shuffleyourdancecards.com
but want them to be more much expanded

examples of sites we like are selfgrowth.com - manages the articles, directory aspects, zaads.com etc.

We are looking to get something live asap, with the enhanced features being rolled out methodically thereafter.

Well it's taken us over 12months and I must say a lot of blood and tears.. but we have learn some good lessons..
the first is that Drupal is a really great system, that somethings are easier than you think.. and the magic ingredient.. is good people and hard work..

That said a lot of very bad drupal themers, developers out there.. if we hadn't signed ndas.. we'd be saying more about it.. personally feel like we were ripped off by very unprofessional firm..

anyway .. enough crying over spilit milk..

We're going to launch www.prodrupalthemes.co.uk to give people access to the benefit of over 3 years of theme development, rolling out over 400 drupal sites since the summer, and because we really want to up the standard people should expect.

We would love to hear from anyone that wants to work intelligently, quickly and with good people in friendly way.. and is prepared to bring fun and quality to the table.

Latest site to be launched was www.BestBabyStuff.co.uk which is simple and clean and already getting great feedback, and isn't your standard wordpress/drupal site.

As soon as I read MULTI-SITE I knew this would be problematic if you were just taking RFP's off the street. By requiring references of other multi-site installations you may have been able to avoid this. It's a tough thing to do, and after doing two major sites, we have a strong handle on it and what is actually involved.
