I created a new account then after log in I got this error.

Notice: Undefined index: legal_accept in legal_user_update() (line 470 of /home/ralphston/public_html/sites/all/modules/legal/legal.module).

I am getting this type of error not only at that time, but also - on occasion - when new content is saved. This is while the build is still on my test server, but the user account I am using has indicated their acceptance of the legal statement.
