When i try to change group permissions in http://drupal.site/?q=admin/user/configure/permission, after clicking on 'Save permissions' i get 'Access denied You are not authorized to access this page.' message from drupal and i've been logged out

i use drupal 4.5.2 with postgres, there is no error message in logs

I have the same problem, from version 4.5.2 I have updated to the other versions and follows the same problem, I have version 4,6,3 now and continuous the problem, somebody has some idea to fix this

I have a similar problem.

I am using Dries's Simplenews module (4.6.0 version as of oct 9 2005) on Drupal 4.6.3, and followed everything to the letter, but once I try enabling permissions to access the module, I automatically get logged out and kicked to a Drupal-generated "Access denied" page.

This happens with a few other modules I have encountered, too.

This prevents me from being able to use newsletters.

I can't recreate either, also we use simplenews on drupal.org, works fine, and if you have a simplenews issue why are you putting that into a core issue?
