I created a Field Collection with: Image, Caption, Credi

I can see the image being displayed on the node but it is not respecting the custom formatter I chose under field display settings.

Also I am not able to select just the image to display when creating a view. Any help would be appreciated.

Set up a view mode for the field collection with your desired display settings and then set up a view mode for its host so that the field is being rendered with the view mode for it that you configured.
