That cross-group post reminding users about submitting sessions to PNW summit 2012 has been sidetracked into a conflictual set of exchanges not directly related to the topic of the post. A request to bring the discussion offline was not taken up, http://groups.drupal.org/node/248173#comment-801778. Users have complained about being spammed, http://groups.drupal.org/node/248173#comment-801958.

ezra-g commentedIt looks like someone has already closed comments (though apparently they didn't leave a node revision to make it clear who this was).
Thanks for looking out for this.

nedjo@greggles, @ezra-g: thanks for your prompt action on this!

greggles@nedjo - I created http://groups.drupal.org/node/248573 and http://groups.drupal.org/node/248588
I'd like to re-open the thread at http://groups.drupal.org/node/248173 and leave a comment saying:
"This thread was temporarily closed due to the high-volume, off-topic conversation. Two new discussion threads, focused on these contentious issues, have been posted into the Drupal Event Organization group:
Anyone interested in transparency of camp funding can discuss that at http://groups.drupal.org/node/248588
Anyone interested in whether speakers should get paid can discuss that at http://groups.drupal.org/node/248573
Anyone who continues those topics in this thread may have their comments deleted."
Thoughts?

nedjo@greggles: sounds great, that's a really positive approach that promotes discussion while addressing the issue, which was not the discussion itself but the place it was happening. Thanks!
