Views don't show field data for fields using relationships to content types without access control

This is a similar issue to this one, but it is specific to fields that use relationships to content types where access has not be granted. If SQL rewriting has been disabled in a view and if it contains a field that uses a relationship to a content type without access control, the view and the field heading show up but the data for that particular field(s) is left empty.
