Currently, there is no way to pluralize relationship names. We should create a setting so that something like "buddy" doesn't incorrectly pluralize to "buddys".

I uploaded a patch for this, but didn't notice that this issue was already reported, so I created a new issue (http://drupal.org/node/175189). Sorry for the duplication of issues.
