Is it possible to add a "Save and edit" button next to the "Save field settings" button on the settings page of a custom CCK content type?

Perhaps a work-around? This would help me in short time.
Or perhaps a possible feature which can be added when creating a new content type.

It would be usefull when a settings has to be set before other settings fields become available.
An example would be in the matrix module. If 2 setting fields (number of rows & number of columns) can be set first, then the "Save and edit" button is clicked, the settings form is returned and the exact wanted number of rows and colums label fields are then showed in order to continue the settings of the matrix field.
I am pretty sure, this feature can be used for other field types as well.

+1 for the "save and edit" button because it would save a lot of time when editing nodes that have multiple secondary tabs.

It could either detect that there are multiple secondary tabs, or just allow an option to be checked on the content type preferences tab. Unless this is already possible with theming? Not sure...

A very old feature request for D5, won't do anything with this now.
