Possible to add multiple field sets?

I guess this is related to fieldgroup.module but this just seems to group related nodes. It doesn't allow the content creator to add multiple sets of fields. For example there could be custom fields A, B and C, grouped under ABC_Group. The content type would allow the author to add multiple ABC_Groups. Is this possible at present? If not, I'd like to request this as a feature.
