Anyone out there know where/how I can find a good programmer to help out with our growing drupal world? I've posted here and on craigslist, but I've gotten really poor responses... like 6 responses from the craigslist ad and 2 from the post here...

It's been a long time since I've had to look for a job, and I've never had to hire a programmer before, so I'm not sure where they're hiding! :) Or perhaps there is just so much work out there that everyone is already too busy?

The amazing thing is all the great FREE work that people are doing here... and yet I can pay someone... and nothing...

Anyone know where all the drupal developers hide, and how I can lure them into working with me?

Thanks a lot for the help!!!!
Jamie.

You said you had 8 responses - so I assume none of them were suitable?

...not sure if I will be, but if you want to PM me (just enabled my contact form) we can swap a few emails or whatever, if not, no problem.

Correct, either people with not enough relavent experience... or agency contacts. In my experiences working with both individuals and agencies, I've always preferred an individual.

I'll contact you... :)

Thanks, Jamie.

What about your local PHP user group? One reason I can think of for limited response is that applying your own vision to building something is a lot more fun than maintaining someone else's Drupal site.

True... but I'm really looking for someone who has that vision and love of programming to partner with on these projects... not all of it is all that much fun - but a lot of it is really cool... marmot.com and marmotpro.com ...with a lot of potential.

Maybe I need to fix up the ad a bit... it's kinda dry I guess...

Why not contact well known Drupal consultants ?
