Tutorial: Show nodeprofile information in a block beside a node authored by the same user

The profile.module allowed for this, but I hadn't seen anything written up on how to create such a block with nodeprofile. I hope this helps someone. BTW, please let me know if my book pages aren't clear (it's my first time contributing to the handbook).
