Module for displaying full nodes in front page using embeded srcoll panel using ajax/java script

I am using Drupal 5.1 for this press release website . Like a typical drupal website, front page of this site displays a list of teasers of recent press release posts. I want to provide a icon control( or button ) near teaser preview for each post. If the user clicks on the control near the preview, content preview must expand and display the full node body. This full node view must be displayed in the front page itself using a embedded scroll pane which appears in the place of teaser by replacing the teaser. When the user presses on the control again, panel displaying the full node view must disappear and display the teaser - returning back to normal view. This way user must be able to toggle between teaser preview and embedded full node view by pressing the control again and again. This must be done using AJAX and java script to avoid any page refresh when the user toggles between teaser prview view and embedded full node scroll pane view. I am planning to write a module for this. Now I want to know

Is there already a module which can be used for providing this feature.

If there is no such module, I want to know if anyone will be interested in developing such a module along with me.

Also I welcome suggestions for improving this press release website . It uses zen theme.
