Sorry to start one of these threads again but looking through all the others there does not seem to be a satisfactory resolution.

I have installed the module and the webform is available at http://www.speech-therapy.org.uk/listening-children-documents

However I get access denied at
http://www.speech-therapy.org.uk/system/files/webform_files/Daniel_%26_M...
when I try to download.
Interestingly I also get the same access denied for the administrator

What is that field field-name-field-webform-file (the one that creates the File:-label just before the webform) doing there? Is that for testing?
Can you eliminate a wrong configuration as error cause?

You do not have by any chance a test site running on the same server and could give me admin access to that test site so I could look around? Right now I'm really out of ideas, given that the basics have been covered in the other threads.

Ok, for a start, could you deactivate any modules that you don't need, to see if that changes anything? If it still doesn't work, please post the details about your installation (server setup, core version, module versions of the remaining ones, anything else worth mentioning). Maybe me or somebody else has luck in reproducing the issue.

Sorry not to have got back to you before.
I am in the process of setting up a test system so that I can do as you suggest and turn off other modules and go through a process of elimination. If that does not resolve the problem I will give you access to my test system.

some hints on your configuration: check that sessions are working (should be the case though when authentication works), check file permissions, deactivate caching in any form, if you use reverse proxies deactivate them as well

Sorry not to have got back to you before. This is a very part time project for me, bit of a labour of love so I don't always get as much time to sort this site out as I would like.

Thanks Julie. I was able to figure out the problem. It is the module filedepot that denies access to the files. You can see that in the logs: "Download request for file - invalid file reference" which is of type filedepot. I'm not sure if it is a bug in the module or of it is a configuration issue, as I have never used that module.

Look at the test site, I have deactivated the module and access to the files works now. I have changed some wpd configurations as well and am too lazy now to revert them, it's only a test system anyway, isn't it :-)

I will check the configuration and setup for the filedepot module as I need this in the live system.
